It’s time for this year when most car makers increase prices in the range. Car makers such as Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Mercedes and BMW all introduced price increases for their range of models in India. Luxury Antomaker, Audi and Mercedes-Benz, also increases prices starting April 1, 2022.
Mahindra has also introduced a price increase for all their cars, including their superior XUV – XUV700. This is the third price increase since it was launched, with the first on October 8, 2021, only 1 day after the order was opened, followed by a price increase in January 2022.

Mahindra quoted reasons for the latest price increases to commodity price increases such as steel, aluminum and palladium. Paying attention to the increasing demand for electric vehicles, the company also expanded its portfolio to enter the new XUV300 electric that will come in 2023. Exuv300 will be based on Mahindra Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture (Mesma), which was built on the company’s facilities. Being a platform that can be scaled, the same thing will be used for various types of body. Exuv300 can enter with a 40 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 200-250 km while there will be a larger battery pack with a higher range so that it allows the Exuv300 to compete with people like Tata Nexon and MG ZS EV.
